Event Details

As the leader of a wave of Massachusetts based singer-songwriters on his label, Lit Honey Productions, indie artist and multi-instrumentalist, Dan Searl is an emerging music producer/singer combining his jazz training and experimental approach to pop songwriting to create a unique body of work.

No stranger to the woods of New England: his latest single, “The Brink” explores an alt-pop sound.

Searl finds inspiration in nature and is known to experiment musically. He isolates himself in the woods of Maine to write music of self reflection, transcendence, and human experience.

In 2019 he was a winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the Pop Category. In addition, he has performed at music venues across the U.S including Academy LA in Hollywood, the Press Room in Portsmouth, NH, The Berklee Performance Center and the Middle East in Cambridge, MA to name a few. He has also performed in Montreal and has been recognized as a Keynote Speaker at Bagaduce Music Library in Maine. Searl is also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College Of Music where he received a degree in 2015 in music performance. Some of his songs showcase a Riff driven acoustic pop sound laced with folk-oriented elements(Mandolin, Acoustic Guitar) and placed in a driving beat with poetic lyrics. Over the years, Searl has produced countless records for many artists on the Boston Scene. He credits John Lennon, Jon Bellion and Ásgeir as three of his influences. He founded his label, Lit Honey Productions in 2018 and currently performs regularly in the New England Area and his work has amassed over one million streams on Spotify alone.
